We build, repair and reseal decks for homeowners around Marana and the Tucson area. Most of us got into this trade doing framing and carpentry work before specializing in decks, because it's the part of the house that takes the most abuse from sun and weather. You call us when you want a new deck built right the first time, or when an old one needs saving instead of tearing out.
The thing that worries most homeowners is a deck that's started to sag, feel spongy underfoot, or pull away from the house at the ledger board. That's usually rot at the ledger, undersized joists, or footings that were never poured deep enough for the load. We open up the framing before we quote a repair, because patching the decking over a bad structure just hides the problem for another year.
None of this is complicated. It is mostly just doing what we said we would do.
We carry the license and insurance this trade requires in Arizona. If a ladder dents a gutter or a post hole hits a sprinkler line, that's on us to fix, not you.
Decks over 30 inches off the ground and anything attached to your house usually require a permit and an inspection. We handle that paperwork and schedule the inspection so you don't have to chase it down.
Every quote breaks out labor and material by line, so you can see what the railing costs versus the decking versus the footings. No verbal numbers that change once we start.
Decking jobs run into weather delays sometimes, especially during monsoon season. When that happens we call you instead of leaving you guessing.
Wood costs less up front but requires restaining every couple years out here. Composite costs more but shrugs off the sun, and we'll walk you through that tradeoff before you commit to either.
We've seen what a west-facing deck in Marana does to untreated pine, and we build around that instead of finding out the hard way. Local knowledge changes what we spec before the job even starts.
